Sarah's love of entrepreneurship began as a child. From "Daisy Café" that she ran out of her mom's kitchen (with generously low overhead costs) at age 9 to the wedding floral design business she started at 16, Sarah was constantly coming up with business schemes to serve and delight people.
Her degree in Agricultural Business from Brigham Young University sure prepared her for her careers in film, web design, hospitality, tech and business development. Just kidding. Not really. But she enjoyed the diversity and opportunity that classes opened for her. While at school she also became fluent in ASL which she appreciates using with her Deaf husband and to threaten her kids secretly in potentially embarrassing social situations.
Her passion for film was born in 2002 when she filmed her first wedding. She filmed over 500 weddings and corporate events until 2009 and began filming births professionally in 2011. In 2008 she started Aspenwood Manor-- a luxury boutique inn located in Provo, Utah. While running the inn full time, she also founded Empowering Fearless Birth in 2013 which to date is Utah's largest and longest running pregnancy and birth event. Several other businesses were born in the last decade including the Children’s Entrepreneur Market (an entrepreneurial program that gives market opportunities for kids), Temples Around the World (glass sculptures shipping all over the world), and Silver Maple Media (a graphic and web design firm serving small business owners). In 2018, BirthCircle.com was born as a social media tech start-up that connects independent birth providers to clients who seek a personalized and educated pregnancy and birth experience.
She believes in living your legacy and welcomes her children to follow her in business. They all have their own businesses including her 8 year old who professionally restores headlights (by herself!) She also is passionate about continuing her education by taking countless trainings and reading a bazillion books.
In 2019 she took her vast business skills and co-founded Soul Seed Academy which is a business incubator for passionate women who have heart-based businesses. The aim is to give these entrepreneurs world-class training and resources to build a sustainable, life-balanced, and fulfilling business.
